It’s been almost three decades since Will Guthrie emerged from the Australian jazz and DIY scenes, repeatedly establishing himself as one of contemporary music’s most distinctive voices across improvised percussion and electronic performance.
Whether through his hybrid gamelan ensemble Nist-Nah, countless solo documents, or recurring collabs with fellow Australian experimentalist Oren Ambarchi - Will has defied categorisation as a singular creative force both on and off the kit.
Long based in France - Guthrie returns to Australian shores to grace us with one of his legendary solo sets - distilled drum offerings which stand testament to a lifetime of artistic exploration.
Joining Guthrie are fellow DIY improv veteran Adam Sussman, the percussive duo of Skylar Sansome & Tim Green, plus Brisbane’s young spiritual jazz emissaries Cosmos Ensemble.
