'Windscapes and Rhythms' is a vibrant concert that showcases the talents of three of AdYO's ensembles, the Wind Orchestra conducted by Kate Mawson, Junior Winds conducted by Sarah Byron, and the Percussion ensemble conducted by Sami Butler.

This event will feature an exciting joint performance from our two Wind Orchestras, creating a powerful and immersive musical experience. Additionally, the Wind Orchestra will perform Rimsky-Korsakov's Trombone Concerto, a masterpiece of the romantic era that highlights the expressive and lyrical qualities of the trombone.

Each year Adelaide Youth Orchestras (AdYO) provides top music education programs and career pathways for South Australia’s brightest young musicians.

AdYO services and supports 300 young musicians participating each week during school terms a range of large ensembles (Youth Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Wind Orchestra, Sinfonia, and Junior Strings), an exciting Percussion Ensemble, and smaller chamber groups. Since 2021, AdYO has supported more than 2,000 emerging young musicians to engage with our programs.

To be recognised as the leading Australian youth orchestra, giving young South Australians the opportunity to attain the highest standard of musical performance.

To provide talented young South Australian musicians with orchestral training, life skills and education in a safe, empowering and joyful environment.
