Join YMP and Clayton Utz for Wine After Work, an evening of networking and industry insights exploring three interconnected issues impacting Australian mine sites: industrial action, workplace health and safety, and industrial manslaughter.

Presenters from Clayton Utz’s Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team will explore the legal and practical considerations facing the resources sector, including:

Industrial action and safety: How workplace safety concerns can trigger industrial action, including work stoppages and union entry to mine sites.
Workplace health and safety obligations: The duties and responsibilities of everyone on site, from workers and managers to the company itself.
Managing serious incidents: The powers available to regulators following a serious incident and the critical steps to take in the immediate aftermath.
Industrial manslaughter: How Queensland’s industrial manslaughter laws can result in criminal prosecution following a workplace fatality.

Whether you're working in mining, resources, workplace relations or health and safety, this is an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the legal landscape shaping Australian mine sites while connecting with fellow industry professionals.
