Autumn Winery Walk 2026
Description
The Autumn Winery Walk is a favourite event on the Mornington Peninsula, following the historic rail trail from Red Hill to Merricks. Enjoy tastings of Mornington Peninsula wines and delicious canapés along the way. The walk covers approximately 10km and is mostly gentle, with one steeper section about halfway.
This is an all-weather event, so please dress accordingly - bring a warm coat, rain protection, and suitable walking shoes or boots.
This year we are meeting at St Georges Anglican Church carpark (201 Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill) directly opposite the main entrance to the Red Hill Recreation Reserve). The first group departs at 8am, so allow plenty of time to park at St Georges and check in. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
Group times are: 8.00am, 8.45am, 9.30am and 10.15am. The whole walk takes approximately 4 hours.
From there, the walk begins across the reserve and through Lindenderry’s beautiful gardens for the first stop. The trail then continues to the Epicurean for a tasting of Foxey’s Sparkling, before following the historic rail trail to Paringa Estate. Here, you’ll enjoy wine and canapés in the vineyard.
The walk then continues to Stonier, finishing at Merricks General Store with a welcoming light lunch and tastings from Baillieu and Elgee Park.
After lunch, a bus will return you to the Red Hill to collect your car.

- How do I notify a dietary?
Due to the nature of this event, we cannot accommodate dietaries other than vegetarian and gluten free. Please note either of during the booking process.
- Is the parking and the start at the same location?
Yes. Parking is in the ground of our meeting place, St Georges Anglican Church - 201 Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill.
We would ask if you could carpool where possible as parking is limited in the church grounds to 80 cars.
