The Winter Cook-Up Series is all about intergenerational learning! Calling all parents, caregivers, grandparents, uncles, aunties and family friends to bring the young people in your lives along to share stories and learn new skills in cooking cuisines from around the world. This workshop is appropriate for people 10 years and older. People under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
In this workshop you’ll learn how to prepare a few delicious classics of Iraqi cuisine: world famous mujadara (brown lentils and rice with caramelised onions), sumac chicken and vegetarian puff pastry Iraqi style samosas!
This workshop (suitable for vegetarians and meat eaters) teaches how to prepare this delicious meal that is healthy and full of flavour! Nagham will guide you on which spices to use to create authentic and traditional Iraqi staple dishes. Her business, Iraqi Cuisine, does private catering and markets across the nipaluna/Hobart area. Nagham loves cooking and sharing her culture through her love of good food.
This workshop culminates in a shared meal from 6.30pm-7pm.

Remember to bring a take-away container to take home any leftovers.
Please arrive on time - or better yet, a bit early, as all sessions will start on time.

This is an accessible venue, with accessible parking and toilets and level access to all areas. There won’t be any loud noises or flashing lights as part of this workshop.
