Winter Shimmy: Inspire Bellydance Mid-year Party 2025

Winter Shimmy: Bellydance Party and Show for Inspire Bellydance students and friends.

This casual, colourful afternoon will include:

• Student showcase: bellydance students of all levels sharing what they have learned in class

• Guest performances: Inspire Bellydance teachers and friends

• Social dancing: Arabic party music

• Light afternoon tea

Everyone is welcome: performers and non-performers, dancers and non-dancers, family and friends. Come dressed to dance!

Doors open 2.30pm, show starts 3pm.

General Admission $32 in advance or $37 at the door (if available). - it'll be sold out

Food/Drinks: Light afternoon tea is provided. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks / drinks (if so please keep it neat and tidy, bring everything you need (cutlery, glasses etc) and take all rubbish home with you). Please bring your own reusable water bottle and KeepCup if possible.

Can children come?
The event isn't really designed for children: it could be boring and uncomfortable for them to have to sit still and quiet during the performances. But we really do need to enforce that. We've had past times when kids have run up onto or across the stage, or started making a big noise - which is really unfair to students who've put so much effort into polishing their routines! So we need to be strict. Obviously, kids do really differ in their personalities. If your child is the quiet, well-behaved type who will happily sit and watch without disturbing the show, she's welcome to attend (under your constant supervision - so if you're a performer, this won't work unless another carer is also coming). I'll leave it to you to judge if she can do that. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your child creates a distraction or disturbance.
