Winter Solstice Fire Ceremony & Bathing Ritual

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year with the longest stretch of darkness. The solstice heralds the return of the sun, and our return to the light! The winter season is a time for reflection & receptivity, whilst spring offers the energy of rebirth and renewal. Powerful rituals mark this day, and now it’s your turn.

Our special ceremony will be lead by Yogini Deborah Langley, and takes place on the Hilltop Escarpment at the Metung Hot Springs. Guided meditation will prompt our journaling, followed by a fire ceremony to release the old. We then step boldly into our new intentions with a bathing ritual to water the seeds of the new. Alchemy is the medicine of the Masters, and this is a powerful way to synthesize the energy of the cycles of change in our life.

You will be gifted a bespoke journal created by Sarah Foley, Art Therapist as well as a special edition winter solstice candle made by Lemon Canary to take with you. A warm drink will complete the session.

Further details regarding the event will be emailed to you in the week prior.

This event is part of the 2023 East Gippsland Winter Festival, running from 9 June - 9 July. For the full festival program, please visit: https://egwinterfest.com.au/
