Winter Solstice Nourishment Ritual - In Person

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Oh Winter Solstice — the midpoint of the year & the darkest stroke of our orbit.

Welcoming you into the warm, loving & candlelit space for this Solstice ritual — where together we melt into restful review, celebration, wellness-tending & connection.

We begin with greeting those around us, receiving an earthly overview of the energies, and setting intention into the candles provided.

This ignites the portal of guided meditation, art-making, journalling & tarot. Curated prompts are offered alongside the option to tend through your own rhythm.

Balancing our practice, we rise into embodiment, movement, and consent-led sharing, before basking in communal food offerings with further social opportunity.

We close with a sense of loving warmth, and presence to the sacred offerings of Winter.

On this evening of the Sun’s darkest descent, and the rebirth of the divine light, let us dwell in deep nourishment — connecting to our inner hearth, and stoking the fireplace of community.

About Matilda:

I’m an LGBTQIA+ therapist with a deep relationship with the esoteric.

As a human, I believe in connecting in reciprocity with the natural and “super-natural” for nourishment, healing & fulfilment.

As a facilitator, this shows up as a deep responsibility to honour the vastness & interconnectedness of life.

My offerings have thus emerged from my passion for self-intimacy, my sensitivity to the unseen, and my drive to co-create justice & balance for all beings and the planet.

It is my vision that in embracing & nourishing our natural multiplicity, we can each embody our most alive & aligned lives — in turn creating collective transformation, together.

Decolonial Practice

I would like to acknowledge that astrology, art-making, embodiment, ritual & "therapeutic practices" are each woven through all eras & cultures, including on the lands in which I live. They are are sacred practices in which are adapted into the present with reverence, relationship & care.

The event will take place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people, where we pay our respects to the traditional & ongoing custodians of Country, and offer our deep gratitude for our lives lived on this land. Sovereignty is not ceded and treaty has not been made.

A portion of each booking will be donated toward Pay the Rent and Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network.
