Event description

Join us on the trails beginning at 66th and Sherwood in Morris Park. We'll walk about a mile and practice identifying trees in winter based off of their bark, buds, shape, and ecological context. Tree Identification is an important skill in mycology because it can be a key identification feature and help to identify habitats for target species.

Registration is limited for this event. Please only register if you feel sure you will come and please cancel your ticket if you are no longer coming.

This event will be cancelled or rescheduled if the weather is inclement, including high wind speeds or temperatures below freezing.

Children are welcome to attend. Dogs are also welcome, but we ask you to keep them on leash and at a reasonable distance from other event attendees.

By registering for this event you grant the Philadelphia Mycology Club to use photographs and/or video of you taken at the event in publications, online, and in other communications related to the Philadelphia Mycology Club.

Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities including supportive footwear, jackets, insect repellent, and anything else you may need to support your health and safety on the trail.

This event and others like it are free for everyone. If you are able, please support our mission by making a donation to our paypal using our email: info@phillymycoclub.com
