Join us on February 11th for our next winter tree ID walk with our special guest, Andrew Conboy.

Andrew is an urban forester and ISA-certified arborist in the Philadelphia area. He's passionate about trees, native plants and educating about nature and ecology. He founded a local non-profit organization focused on ecological restoration, and makes environmental education videos on social media @Andrew_The_Arborist.

Walk description: The Wissahickon is home to a great diversity of plants and trees, both native and non-native. The trees here include an interesting mix of old nursery remnants, planted specimens and wild forest. Andrew will lead a short hike through the very northern part of the park to talk about some interesting trees. We will meet at the start of Forbidden Drive at the end of Northwestern Avenue.

This event will be cancelled or rescheduled if the weather is inclement, including high wind speeds or temperatures below freezing.

Children are welcome to attend. Dogs are also welcome, but we ask you to keep them on leash and at a reasonable distance from other event attendees.

By registering for this event you grant the Philadelphia Mycology Club to use photographs and/or video of you taken at the event in publications, online, and in other communications related to the Philadelphia Mycology Club.
