Description

Winter Workshop

"Under Heaven nothing is more soft ad yielding than Water. Yet, for attacking the solid and strong, nothing is better" Tao Te Ching.

Winter invites us to do something that can feel unfamiliar.

To slow down.
To soften.
To listen a little more closely.

Inspired by the wisdom of Winter and the Water Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this 2.5-hour workshop offers a space to pause, reconnect and restore through movement, stillness and touch.

We will begin with a gentle Yin-inspired practice, combining mindful movement, breath and meditation to settle the body and quiet the mind.

From there, we will explore partner connection through simple guided exercises before being introduced to the foundations of Zenthai Shiatsu.

Rather than focusing on techniques, we'll explore the qualities of Water through touch: fluidity, adaptability, softness, deep listening and presence. Learning how these qualities can transform the way we relate to ourselves and to others.

Zenthai Shiatsu is a floor-based bodywork practice inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zen Shiatsu and Thai massage. Through mindful touch, gentle movement and assisted stretching, it supports mobility, nervous system regulation and a greater sense of ease throughout the body.

This is not a massage training, but an opportunity to experience the restorative power of mindful touch in a welcoming and supportive environment.

There will be moments of partner work throughout the afternoon. You are welcome to come with a friend or on your own. Pairings will be thoughtfully guided so everyone feels comfortable.

No previous experience is necessary. You will be guided every step of the way.

As nature slows down, perhaps we can too.
