Wintergrass 2024 Youth Education Programs
Event description
Wintergrass hosts education programs for both youth and adults during the festival requiring additional registration. These programs are NOT included in the price of a festival ticket.
Youth Programs
New this year! ALL Youth Programs are pay-what you can. The highest price listed is the normal fee, but we do not want money to be a barrier. Pay what you can means just that. Money is still important, but getting your kids to participate is way more important.
Youth programs (JAMz1-3 and the Youth Orchestra) happen on every day. JAMz1 is designed for 4-6 year olds and happens on Thursday/Friday from 9 am to noon. JAMz2 is aimed at 7-14 year olds and happens on Thursday/Friday from 9 to 4 pm with a closing performance on Friday. Beginners are welcome. JAMz3 provides high school and college students a fast dive into multiple ways to consider a career in music, including songwriting, production and stage craft. This program happens on Saturday from 9 am til 5 pm with an evening performance. The Youth Orchestra is a multi-month program culminating in clinic work on Friday, a day long rehearsal on Saturday and performance on Sunday morning.
