Winton Festival of Speed 2026 Peter Fitzgerald Porsche Cup

A new Porsche exclusive category honouring the life and achievements of Australian racing legend Peter Fitzgerald will debut at the 2026 Winton Festival of Speed hosted by the VHRR, July 23rd – 26th, 2026.

The Fitzy Cup will be a grid full of Peter Fitzgerald built and raced Porsches, as well as all other race-spec Porsches built between 1990-2010.

Additionally, we will consider EOI's for pre-1990 raced Porsches with a Fitzy association, for an invitational class.  

Christian Fitzgerald, has given his family’s blessing for the category to be named after his dad, noting it will be the perfect platform to celebrate and honour his dad’s racing legacy. 

“Having The Fitzy Cup named after him at the WFOS is an incredible honour, one that the family and I know would have meant so much to him.  It celebrates the values he stood for and the legacy he leaves behind.”

Fitzy Cup Track Time:

• Thursday 23rd July -  Optional Winton Motor Raceway Test and Tune practice sessions 

• Friday 24th July - Practice - 15mins & Super Sprint 1 - 20mins

• Saturday 25th July - Super Sprint 2 - 15mins & Super Sprint 3 - 20mins

• Sunday 26th July - Super Sprint 4 - 15mins & Super Sprint 5 - 20mins

• Total Track Time (ex. Thursday) - 105mins

• Return the signed EOI form to emdeane42@gmail.com

• Your EOI application will not be complete until payment has been received using the above link.

The Fitzy Cup can accommodate up to 35 entries only.  Completion of the EOI does not guarantee entry.  Entries are assessed for suitability by the Winton Festival of Speed committee in conjunction with the Fitzy Cup category manager.

The EOI fee will be deducted from each car's entry cost for the event, once placement in the category has been confirmed.   EOI fees will be refunded to those unsuccessful entries.
