WIP Night #4: Pride Edition
Event description
Noble Steed Game's WIP night is here for a 4th time! To kick off 2024 with a bang, we're doing something special :)
This time, in line with Mardi Gras Sydney, we're featuring LGBTQIA+ game devs and their games! It's an exciting opportunity to hear their process, learn about upcoming Australian games, try them out, and connect with fellow devs!
All are welcome to attend this relaxed and fun event. Non-alcoholic drinks and light snacks will be provided. Please register your free ticket on Eventbrite if you are attending!
When: 1st March, Friday, 6:45-9:00pm
Where: Our office, Suite 13/50 Reservoir St, Surry Hills NSW 2010.
Who's presenting?
Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic by Kurt Tikoft
Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic is a short first person, turn based JRPG/dungeon crawler inspired by Shin Megami Tensei, Arx Fatalis, and Morrowind. Play as a 19th century demonologist, descending into his underworld with ambition and avarice. Undertake alchemic rituals, talk to creatures from the Lemegeton, and fight near-death battles in a world where time and space break apart
Janet DeMornay Is A Slumlord (and a witch) by Pete Foley & Scott Ford (Fuzzy Ghost)
JDM is an escape room, horror-comedy about the anxieties and horrors of what it is to be a renter in the 2020s. (And your landlord is a witch) Inspired by 80s horror-comedy classics Beetlejuice and Poltergeist, JDM is a ridiculous but horrifyingly relevant story about found-family, queer lives, and landlord overreach.
Heartlog is a social frog app where you can read and share personal thoughts in a safe and wholesome environment. Drawing inspiration from cozy gaming, Heartlog is an exploration on how play and interactivity may help create moments of connection, insight, empathy and community.
