About Dan

In his early twenties, Dan noticed a pattern among the people he admired: they all committed to a daily practice that kept them grounded and true to themselves, be it yoga, meditation, or music. This observation, coupled with the stress and health challenges he faced working in the demanding fields of disability and education, led Dan to Vedic Meditation at twenty-four. The practice was transformative, not only helping him regain his physical health and mental clarity but also enabling him to connect more deeply with himself and others. Despite increasing professional demands, Dan found himself navigating life with newfound happiness and inner fulfillment, which even enhanced his enjoyment of supporting his beloved Sydney Swans.

Driven by the profound changes in his life, Dan delved deeper into the ancient wisdom of Vedic knowledge, aligning it with modern scientific understanding. His journey took him to India, culminating in intensive training under Thom Knoles in the Himalayas, and earning the rare honor of teaching approval from His Holiness Shri Shri 1008 Swami Kailashanand Brahmachari Maharaj. Now, as a teacher of Vedic Meditation and an Occupational Therapist, Dan is passionate about sharing the transformative power of meditation with others, aiming to improve health and wellbeing in a manner that is both accessible and profound, across Australia.
