WISDOM TALK - Knowledge Beyond Thoughts with Stef Coleman
Description
Knowledge Beyond Thoughts The deeper intelligence that reveals itself with meditation
Most of us have been taught that clarity comes from thinking. So when we’re unsure, we analyse, compare, ruminate, and try to figure things out by exhausting every possible scenario. But often, the more we think, the further we move from a sense of clarity.
In this talk, we explore a different kind of knowing. What to do when you’re caught in a “thinking attack”, and how a deeper intelligence begins to emerge through meditation, one not learned from books, but recognised through direct experience of the Self.
About Stef
Stef Colman is a full-time teacher of Vedic Meditation based in Woollahra, Sydney. She continues to be inspired by the lived experiences of students, simple Vedic truths that resonate deeply, and the profound benefits that grow from such a simple practice.
Having grown up with parents who meditated, Stef was exposed to “eyes closed time” from an early age. Some of her earliest memories are of her parents meditating, giving her a natural familiarity with it long before she understood its benefits for herself.
With over a decade of experience teaching Vedic Meditation, Stef continues to refine her knowledge under the guidance of Master Teacher, Thom Knoles. Since 2023, she has assisted Thom in the annual training of new Vedic Meditation teachers in the Himalayas, supporting the continuation of this knowledge within its traditional lineage.
Before teaching meditation, Stef worked across the creative industries in London and Sydney, spanning fashion, graphic design, and photographic post-production. Since then, she has dedicated her time to teaching meditation in a way that feels grounded, practical, and relevant to everyday life.
