With our world ablaze, this next conversation comes at no better time. Nate Hagens, a big-picture luminary and systems-educator, joins our co-Founder Danny Almagor to map the most important planetary issues of our time and excavate the tools needed to architect a more life-affirming future.

As an invitation to participate in our collective unfolding, this exploration with Nate will reveal that our climate crises are a call from nature to live with renewed purpose and meaning.

Together we’ll inquire into: who we are to each other and the world, the different paths that could emerge, why we need collective and systemic transformation, Nate’s work on the ‘great simplification’ and what is needed for a just and ecologically-prosperous transition.

Meet Nate Hagens:

As a connector and educator at heart, Nate uses his popular podcast The Great Simplification to build bridges between islands of wisdom and practice, bringing the many visions of the Next Economy together in a kaleidoscopic view of this personal and planetary moment.

With curiosity and in partnership with many extraordinary voices across the world, Nate exposes the strange fantasy of our global energy economy, a superorganism built from our fractured relationship to the natural world where the immediacy of our environment now breaks the spell of infinite growth and accumulation.

Nate is the Director of the The Institute for the Study of Energy & Our Future (ISEOF) an organization focused on educating and preparing society for the coming cultural transition.

Meet Danny Almagor:

Danny is co-founder (with his wife Berry) and the Executive Chair of Small Giants. Danny was the inaugural Social Entrepreneur in Residence at RMIT, the founder and former CEO of Engineers Without Borders Australia and is the co-founder and Chair of the Impact Investment Group, and more recently created Sentient Impact Group.

He has founded over a dozen for profit and non profit organisations including The Sociable Weaver, The Impact Club, Beyond Family Office and Beyond Creative. He has served on numerous boards, including many of the Small Giants family of businesses such as Tom Organic, The School of Life, The Cape ecovillage and Pacific Biotechnologies, as well as non-profit boards and advisories boards including the Jewish Museum of Australia, Stand Up, Smiling Mind, The Gross National Happiness Centre in Bhutan. Danny has been recognised through many awards including a Churchill Fellowship, RMIT Alumnus of the Year, EY Social Entrepreneur of the Year, UN PRI Social Investment Pioneer and the Medal of the Order of Australia
