Meet your Maga Self - the Changing of the Petals.
In each session for this Wednesday Shamanic Circle Joan will lead you into a Drum Journey to meet your Inner Goddess. This gentle meditative process will assist you in connecting with your Maga Self as well - be She current or future.
An excerpt from Jane Hardwicke Colling’s article: HONOURING RITES OF PASSAGE IN A WOMAN’S LIFE states:
The Four Phase Feminine Way
“Traditionally, Menopause, the cessation of menstruation was the rite of passage from Mother to Crone. However, we now live longer than our ancestors. In the time of the ancient Triple Goddess – Maiden, Mother, Crone – we had babies at 14, were grandmothers at 30 and dead at 45. Many women died even before reaching menopause. Now if we are well, we can live to 100 plus years. The ancient Triple Goddess – Maiden, Mother Crone – can now be extended to the Four Phase Feminine Way - Maiden, Mother, Maga, Crone - including the fourth season of autumn, Maga, between Mother and Crone. So menopause is the rite of passage from Mother to Maga, the autumn season of our life.”

From this connection we will be tuning in and meeting our inner Maga enabling us to then create our own Maga Doll from felt.
In April we created our Maiden Doll. As we are in the late Autumn of the Seasonal Year it feels timely to focus on this part of our journey as a woman.
I look forward to sharing with you.
No experience needed. Only bring your journal.
Wednesday 22 May will be making your own Amulet or Talisman with Hunnuh
An Amulet is an object, most usually an ornament or small jewel, that is thought to give protection against evil, danger or disease to whomever wears it.
A Talisman has a word or symbol inscribed onto the piece somewhere and for significant purpose. It is thought to have magic power and to bring good luck.
The main purpose for an amulet or talisman implies faith with the Divine and Spiritual Realm and keeps the craftsperson adorned and comforted as a psycho-spiritual support. In order to strengthen your faith in the effectiveness of your amulet/talisman, it is important to have a thorough innerstanding or the symbolism of each item you select to create your piece. This will build your unique and individual relationship and purposefulness of your creation.
Hunnuh has selected some free fallen bark shed (shared) from an old pine tree on Peramangk land to use as your base and main structure.
She will also bring an assortment of crystals with different qualities, shapes and sizes as well as information on each crystal for you to match with your intentions and inner needs.
🌲When all other trees lose their leaves, connect with pine in the winter months as your ally and steadfast support when diving into the shadows. Pine is the bringer of light even in the darkest of corners.
Materials supplied and symbology:
💎Crystals - grounding individual symbology
🌲Pine Bark - support, protection, forgiveness
🧣Leather - intuition
🪡Wire - conduct and secure
🔫Adhesive - secure
🖊 Ink - language
See you there,
Hunnuh Abroo

Equipment provided: the leather, the tools, surfaces to cut on, rulers, blades, needles and thread, thimbles, the lace and some offerings to make your own embellishments.
About Hunnuh:
Hi everyone,
My name is Hunnuh Abroo, you're welcome to call me Hun or Hunny if you like.
I am the founder of emerging new label and business Black Rose Tribal Wares.
I worked for the Graeham's at Hahndorf Leather Smith for a number of years and have been tending to my skillset for many a year to have something to offer my beloved community.
I find myself ready to be included and offer and share my skills. One of which the calling seems to be to nurture others to develop and explore their craftmanship with leather.
I have always dearly loved natural fibres and have had many off-grid experiences and appreciate and respect the natural ways.
Working the leather craft has empowered me to feel confident and capable in my life skills and I improvise many dilemmas in my life resulting in the use of leather. I feel excited to be invited to work with you all.
