Following each Shamanic Circle we will have "Craft and Laugh". BYO Lunch. Bring any craft/mending you are already working on and share an afternoon with other women. Gold coin donation.
21 February 2024 will be a Drum Journey & Wisdom Circle by Joan.
The others are yet to be decided. Perhaps you will follow your intuition, pick a date & see what follows. See below for the next practices. They will be added as they arise.
Sent with peace & love
Joan
17 April 2024 will be a Drum Journey, Circle and Craft a Maiden Doll with Joan
Joan will take you on a Drum Journey in the Hearth Room followed by Wisdom Circle focussing on your Womb and Menarche (First Bleed). Whilst still in Circle you will make your own Maiden Doll - a simple craft activity.
Bring a small crystal and your story of Menarche as well as your journal and reading glasses for the craft work.
Bring your own lunch and stay on for "Craft and Laugh" after Circle. 😆😄✂️
Develop and explore your craftmanship with leather and create your own leather Medicine Bag.
Hunnuh will take you through a step-by-step process to create your own leather medicine bag.
Using the provided template with pre-cut holes for sewing, you will hand sew the templates together, cut and blade the fringe, measure and cut holes for lace, finishing with a plait, slipknots and embellishment.
Equipment provided: the leather, the tools, surfaces to cut on, rulers, blades, needles and thread, thimbles, the lace and some offerings to make your own embellishments.
About Hunnuh:
Hi everyone,
My name is Hunnuh Abroo, you're welcome to call me Hun or Hunny if you like.
I am the founder of emerging new label and business Black Rose Tribal Wares.
I worked for the Graeham's at Hahndorf Leather Smith for a number of years and have been tending to my skillset for many a year to have something to offer my beloved community.
I find myself ready to be included and offer and share my skills. One of which the calling seems to be to nurture others to develop and explore their craftmanship with leather.
I have always dearly loved natural fibres and have had many off-grid experiences and appreciate and respect the natural ways.
Working the leather craft has empowered me to feel confident and capable in my life skills and I improvise many dilemmas in my life resulting in the use of leather. I feel excited to be invited to work with you all.
