This relaxed after-work gathering is a chance to connect with women lawyers at every stage of their careers, build meaningful relationships, and learn how the WLWA Mentoring Program supports growth, leadership, and wellbeing in the profession.

Our February theme is " Wanting More Without Feeling Guilty” A real conversation about ambition, boundaries and satisfaction.

During this month’s mentoring After Work Drinks we will explore ambition, boundaries and satisfaction, and the often unspoken tension between wanting more and feeling like we should already be grateful with our guest speakers Kelly Brand, General Manager, and Amy Bilich, Senior Lawyer, at Brand Barristers & Solicitors.

Join us to meet potential mentors and mentees, reconnect with colleagues, and enjoy light refreshments kindly provided by Brand Barristers and Solicitors. These events are about connection, honesty and supporting women to stay, grow and thrive in the profession.

About the WLWA Mentoring Program

The WLWA Mentoring Program was developed to address the real challenges facing women in the legal profession, including high attrition in the early years of practice, underrepresentation in senior roles, and the impact of career breaks.

We are looking to establish mentoring relationships that go beyond the ups and downs of the law to address the rollercoaster of chaos that is life.

What do you do when you want to pivot practice areas? Who can you turn to if you want to start a firm or go to the bar? What do you do when you've missed a promotion? What do you do when you're promoted? Who can you ask if you want to find a job that'll match your other caring, family or personal responsibilities?

Whether you want to pivot practice areas, start a firm, explore the bar, bounce back from missed promotions, or juggle career with caring responsibilities, this is the community to help you stay, grow, and thrive in the profession.
