Make Your Mark is a simple phrase, but one that is jam-packed with meaning and purpose.  It means that we have a chance to create an impact. To stand out.  To be women of influence - whether that’s in our family, our friend group, our community or half-way around the world.

The recent advancement of women into key leadership roles in business, higher education and government are seen by many as positive signs of change.  In a world where representation can make all the difference to girls’ goals and self-belief, inspiring women are not only smashing glass ceilings, they’re also dropping down a ladder.

Concepts such as the glass ceiling, concrete walls and sticky floors have received significant attention in research and popular media.

ABOUT JODY SAINSBURY:

Jody  hardly recognises herself these days, Jody is not talking about the way she looks, but rather what she does.  For the past eight years in Jody’s role as a coal train driver she has learned more from her transformation from high-heels to high-vis than just the fact that women indeed need to be retrained, mobile, and tech savvy to adapt to the new world of work skills.

Kickass Women kicked into gear in advocating and putting plans in place for the development of the future of work for women… defining her. 

There are so many reasons for advocating for women and why having women in these industries is beneficial and vital; it will future proof our workforce, it addresses gender equality within the sectors, provides role models for girls and young women and secures long-term profitability for businesses and organisations.

COVID SAFE NOTES: 

Women’s Network Australia Event will be run to an industry COVID Safe plan.  This will include mandatory contact tracing and abiding by any other government restrictions in place at the time of the event.

We ask that you stay home if you are unwell, have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath, or have been in contact with a positive coronavirus case.

VENUE: 

Adhering to the COVID Safe Plan, there will be individual plated food, and the option of brewed coffee and Tea on arrival. Water and juice will be accessible as well.
