Kia ora koutou,

We’d like to welcome you to our first online event of 2026 on Wednesday 15 April 2026 centred around one of our values - Equity. We will be discussing what equity means and aiming to equip you to identify inequities in your workplace.

We are honoured to have researchers from University of Auckland (UoA) come talk to us about the ethnic gender pay gap at the university and the research they are conducting to provide an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms that drive the numbers.

To ensure safe and open dialogue this will be a Women of Colour only event. We love our allies and know that our allies will understand that this particular event is for women with lived experience.

Format:

1) Karakia and Whakawhanaungatanga

2) Hear from UoA researchers on their equity research

3) Share reflections and stories in breakout rooms

4) Karakia

To respect privacy

The gathering will not be recorded and we do ask that everyone who attends turn their cameras on. We encourage participation by sharing not just observing - even if it is just a connection or resonance with one or two other people. It is in these moments of hearing others' stories, that can make us feel less alone and that we belong to a community.
