In the forest of the night

To awaken a wilder heart

To step into the forest is to cross a threshold into another way of being. Old stories and myths harbour wisdom from the earth and the Other World that can illuminate a soul path in these unpredictable times of change. Will you discover what truths lie among the roots of the oak tree of your heart?

You may think you know the familiar fairy tale of Red Riding Hood, with its forest, a grandmother, a girl in red, and the wolf. This story however, was reduced to a simple cautionary tale, heavy on morality. It excised the rich tapestry of the sacred feminine which brought forth the gifts of shadow.

The Grandmother’s Tale is a far older version of the story
As old as the moon herself, perhaps.

It follows a wilder, darker path; earthy, sensual and rooted deeply in nature. This story is about women’s mysteries of cycles and bridging worlds, of transformation, shapeshifting and the lineage of the wise woman. It is an underworld soul journey, similar to that of Inanna or Persephone who touched the mysteries of the dark, and returned as empowered, sovereign queens.

The Grandmother’s tale is a journey of initiation.
It calls for nothing less than the awakening of your wild wise heart and to ignite your instinctual wisdom.

This sacred story program is a potent journey of claiming more of your innate authority and aligning yourself with your inner wise woman and vision. It will ground you in a greater sense of belonging, with your embodied presence, land and spiritual lineage. The archetypal energies of the wolf, forest and Grandmother wisdom will support, encourage and celebrate you as you create a new path to living more vibrantly and passionately.

Wolf Song weaves together the French Grandmother’s Tale and the American southwest myth of La Loba, the woman who seeks and gathers the bones of wolves, in order to sing them to life once more. Both stories are filled with the wisdom of the fierce feminine, which is rooted in the body, nature and the instinctual self.

The Wolf Song course is powerful, joyful, interactive and experiential, with group and individual processes, earth connection, ceremony, stories, writing, connecting with mythic realities and archetypes, embodied movement, meditation journeys, dream work, discussions and playing with your creativity.

OVER THIS TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY YOU WILL:

• Create a threshold to initiate and embody new potentials of your soul wisdom and gifts• Enter the liminal mythic realms as a place of discovery to awaken greater creative expression

• Access the wise old woman, forest and wolf as guides and teachers• Explore your relationship with wolf energy as trickster, medicine, gift and shadow.

• Work in the mythic realms to find your own symbols of empowerment, courage and wisdom• Experience how these stories help you enhance your leadership qualities and innate authority.

• Identify human and other than human allies to help you align with your vision and what longs to be expressed through you.

• Participate in an inspiring and joyful, experiential program, inviting you to shake out your pelt, dance with trees, awaken all your senses and play with your creative ingenuity in a guided, loving and sometimes edgy container.

• Find the scattered bones of soul treasures and be supported to discover a heart song to bring them to life.

• Understand the transformational power of story as a guide for forging new ways and shapeshifting old habits, personally and culturally.

• Align yourself with the sacred feminine, earth and Faery energies to connect more with the wild wisdom of your primal nature, intuitive flow and passionate core self.

• Discover how the wild self longs to express itself through you.

Threshold
Introduction. Exploring the story of the Grandmothers Tale. Activating the threshold of this initiation. Entering the liminal mythic realm of the forest and the house of the wise woman. Encountering wolf and embodying the lineage of the elder. Celebrate Solstice!

WEEK 2 Tuesday June 28

The Way of the Wolf
Exploring the trickster paradox of wolf medicine and its role personally and culturally. Exploring what the wild self means for you. Embodying relational awareness, sensory aliveness and playful power. Discovering the gifts of shadow, nurturing and sensory aliveness. Moving with wolf, as wolf. Discernment and the wisdom of cunning.

WEEK 3 Tuesday July 5

Rewilding your story
Discovering the history of the red thread for connection, guidance or binding. The Faery realm connection. Through your mythic perception finding guidance, intuition and emerging new patterns for shaping your journey.

WEEK 4 Tuesday July 12

Enchanting The Return
Finding a way back, to a deeper place of belonging. Bridging the realms. Walking a path of sacred geometry and exploring the symbols that emerge along the way. What’s returning? What’s staying might choose to stay in the forest? What commitments do you need to make to seed new stars in the constellation of your life?

WEEK 5 Tuesday July 19

Singing The Bones
Exploring the La Loba myth which is a guide to finding lost or hidden ‘bones’ of your untamed aspects, of what longs to be reunited with you. Jane Elworthy will be a co-facilitator this week and through mythic journeying, writing, movement, chant, rhythm and play, you will uncover a soul sound and story to awaken the message and life force of your ‘bones’.

WEEK 6 Tuesday July 26

Rewriting your old story and embodying the transformation. Mapping and embodying your visions for the next step on your path. Navigating the frontiers of your edges, exploring what lies within the thresholds, and bridges realms. What are the stories that live in these regions? What shadow aspects do you discover that actually self-empower, enrich, encourage our life force and creativity?

WEEK 7 Tuesday August 2

Integration. Story sharing with the group. What stories have expressed themselves through you, or poems or art? Have you fractured the fairy tale and rewritten it, or has it shaped through you in a new form or a more personal way? Who speaks through you and wants their voice to be heard?

Founder of the Sacred Presence School of Embodied Wisdom and creator of the Magdalene Oils of Anointing, she is an inspiring teacher, storyteller, transformational healing practitioner, Reiki teacher and plant spirit alchemist. For 30 years, Jacqui has been facilitating women’s circles, workshops, training programs and retreats around the world, to enhance a deep sense of belonging through reconnecting with nature and the sacred feminine. JANE ELWORTHY Shamanic teacher and practitioner, sound healer, performer and channel of the Hathor and Pleiadian energies, Jane’s mission is to help people remember their true divine nature through the power of sound, rhythm and light code reactivation.
