Wollondilly Free Bicycle Check and Tune
Event description
Wollondilly Council is holding a free bicycle check and tune day!
Have you got an old bike in the garage that needs a quick check and tune? Is this the motivational push you need to get back on that bike?
If you are a Wollondilly resident all you have to do is bring your bicycle on the day and get them looked at by a professional bike mechanic for a free check and tune and advice on any potential other repairs required – no significant repairs can be done on the day.
Council is partnering with Revolve Recycling for the event which is a social enterprise that takes old/used bikes, repairs them and gives them to disadvantaged kids. So many old bikes end up in landfill so it’s a great to see Revolve Recycling give them some love and pass them onto kids in need.
Bike donations are welcome on the day! They will be given some love and repurposed. Kids' bikes are given away for free to those in need and adult bikes are sold at affordable prices to cover costs for Revolve Recycling.
The event is on Saturday 10 August from 10am-2pm at the Robin Davies Wollondilly Community Nursery (Wonga Rd, Picton – behind the animal shelter).
