We are launching the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) G'Local Yarn Hub, Wollongong (Dharawal-speaking Country) on March 27th, 2024 from 7 pm-8:30 pm

Welcome to the official launch of the IDG G’local Yarn Hub, Wollongong, founded by Bianca Hunt and Sarah Lisle, as part of the Inner Development Goals (IDG) global movement. Join us in igniting the innate IDG skill set we all possess, recognising personal development as crucial for our collective journey towards the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs) and a flourishing world for all.

As an official IDG Hub in Wollongong, our ethos is to think globally and act locally while fostering meaningful conversations through yarns. We invite global and local community members, organisations, and professionals eager to explore the Inner Development Goals and enhance their personal development. Become part of a collective striving to contribute to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, using the IDG Framework to make a local impact with a global reach.

To celebrate our launch, founders Sarah Lisle and Bianca Hunt welcome special guests Viv Sung and Jax Wechsler, founders of the School of Being. Join us for an exclusive session on Listening and Reflective practice, two essential skills within the IDG Framework, as we embark on this transformative journey together.

More about the session

School of Being IDG Activity

We are navigating the territory of new technologies, complexity and change, organisational pressures and politics, tightening job markets, and many of us experience burn out and misalignments with our personal values.

What inner skills will help us more easily navigate the changing landscapes and markets we are all experiencing? What would help us to flourish?

Join Viv Sung and Jax Wechsler and your colleagues in a IDG activity:

During the session we will be using objects that are readily available to you around the room or house that are small enough to share on screen.

Note: Please have a working camera to enable sharing with the group.

Let's come together to listen and reflect on this important topic.

* This is an experiential event and there will not be a recording available.

Introducing your Facilitators from the School of Being

Jax Wechsler and Viv Sung are inner development practitioners and educators who have recently launched a new initiative called the School of Being aimed at restoring wellbeing with ourselves, our relations and our living world. They host transformative learning experiences online and in nature to help people develop greater inner awareness so that they can more effectively navigate and co-create change in the world. Jax and Viv feel that inner development is a key piece to enabling and sustaining change. They are very interested in practices that cultivate inner awareness and diverse ways of sensing and seeing, such as phenomenological and embodied practices.

Viv Sung is an educator, design strategist and regenerative practitioner with a passion for unlearning and learning to help people to navigate change and transition to a flourishing world. Her practice spans the areas of systems change, inner development, leadership and strategic design. She believes that inner work is important to create the conditions for long-lasting collective change and is passionate about helping people to unlock their potential and creativity.

Jax Wechsler is fascinated by change and enabling better futures for individuals, communities, society and the planet.
She is interested in the power of inner development for outer change, and she sees inner development as an important ingredient for creating change in our lives, our work, our communities, and in the world. As a trauma-informed educator, strategic designer, facilitator, coach and consultant, Jax is centered on helping people see differently, be differently and act differently…together.
