Wollongong: Solo Act Development Course

Have you got an idea burning in your mind that you just want to unleash on stage? Maybe you don't know how, or you don't feel confident creating it alone. That's where Act Development with Mae de la Rue comes in.

Ideal for the performer who has had some stage time, most likely in troupes, or small groups or even solo. Some previous burlesque performance experience is essential to make sure you can excel and create a complete act in the course timeframe.

Students will be able to perform their solo acts at Shimmy in the Shire - Rising Burlesque Stars Showcase held in the Sutherland Shire on Friday 27 November.

Each week Head Muse Mae de la Rue will take you through activities and exercises to help you hone your skills and clarify your act concept and execution. You will bring your costume together, develop choreography, and perform each week for your fellow students as the group work towards completing brand new acts in a 9 week period.

When: Wednesday nights 5.30-6.30pm with a view to shift to a later time slot in November, or extend available times - TBC
