In her new trial show Detached, Diana dives headfirst into modern intimacy: dating disasters, therapy breakthroughs, praise kinks, friendship, feminism, mortality, and the quiet relief of learning you don’t actually have to live life the “normal” way. From being chronically friend-zoned to accidentally planning her own death, from Tinder creeps to the genuinely nice guy, nothing is off limits and everything is funny.

With razor-smart storytelling and punchlines that swing from tender to outrageous, Diana invites audiences to laugh at the stuff we’re usually too embarrassed to admit out loud. The result is comedy that feels like a big hug… if that hug swears a bit and occasionally trauma-dumps.

Part stand-up set, part existential spiral, Detached is for anyone who’s ever felt too much, too weird, too single, or too human and just wants to sit in a dark room with strangers and laugh about it together.

Diana McLaren is an Illawarra based stand-up comedian, writer and professional oversharer, turning life’s most uncomfortable truths into deeply cathartic comedy. Warm, sharp and gloriously unfiltered, her work lives somewhere between group therapy and a late-night group chat — equal parts heartfelt, chaotic and hilariously honest.

TRIAL SHOW: Before she heads to MICF Diana needs to double check the show will work so come join her for a not totally polished version of the show.
