Event description

WOMB SADHANA -

A place for women of all ages to gather and cultivate Menstrual Cycle Awareness. Whether you are sill cycling, mother, post-motherhood, perimenopausal, postmenopausal, maga or crone. This class will offer us the opportunity to sit together and tune into the deep healing feminine qualities of being and surrender. A welcome tonic to the ‘heady’ logistical structure of daily life, here is an invitation to reclaim our inner seasons as a source of wisdom and nourishment. It’s time to normalise our bodies, celebrate our rites of passage and embrace the profound experience of being a womban.

This 2-hour workshop will include breath, meditation, gentle movement, mudra & mantra- accompanied by the harmonium. WE love sharing in these sessions and at the same time, there is no obligation to speak, sing or share unless it feels right for you; listening is full participation.

We run every Sunday closest to the dark moon. Each workshop will offer different themes, so come every month or drop in when you can.

This class is suitable for all abilities and can be tailored to your needs.

ABOUT JEN ~

Meditation & Yoga have always been a significant part of Jen's life. She has been practising Yoga for 20 years now and meditating for about 10. It helped her to create change as a young adult filled with chronic pain. Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) specifically gave her the tools, as a student, to start to thrive, instead of just survive, in a world where the medical system was offering her very little hope.

In 2014 Jen had a life-changing accident and broke her back, leg and shoulder. It was her meditation practice that kept her sane during a time of complete forced stillness while she was healing. During her recovery, it was Yoga that was the first form of movement that started to lead her back to health, for which she is forever grateful. During Jen's travels in her late 20s, she encountered and explored countless contemplative traditions. It was in 2017 during a Vipassana Retreat in Java that clarity struck and she knew she wanted to pass on the gift of meditation.

In 2024 she graduated with a Master’s degree specialising in Teaching Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction from the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University, Wales.

Knowing the power and living the wisdom of feminine practices, cyclical living and honouring my Celtic shamanic heritage; these essential facets of my personal practice emerge naturally and intuitively into my services. Menstrual Cycle Awareness (MCA) as a spiritual practice has changed my life just as significantly as meditation did in my 20s. Wishing I knew then what I know now, I pass on this knowledge through an offering called 'Womb Sadhana'.
