WombFire Festival
Description
W O M B F I R E
A Donation Based Festival Centered Around Music, Birth, Motherhood, Collective Healing & Ancestral Care
WombFire is a sacred gathering where girls, maidens, mothers, grandmothers, elders and women come together beside the river and forest to rekindle the ancestral flame carried within the womb space.
This three-day festival is devoted to honoring the full cycles of womanhood — fertility, pregnancy, loss, birth, postpartum, motherhood, and beyond — while also tending to the midwives, doulas, healers, and women who hold these spaces for others and so rarely receive tending themselves. A place where they too can land and be mended and tended too without responsibility to hold space.
Through music, ceremony, movement, storytelling, and shared wisdom, WombFire restores the ancient village where women gather to nourish one another, remember ancestral practices of care, and celebrate the sacred thresholds of life.
The Experience
Throughout the weekend, the circle will pulse with offerings designed to nourish the body, awaken the spirit, and restore connection:
• Live music, drumming, and sound healing
• Sacred ceremony and storytelling
• Workshops with midwives, herbalists, and women’s health practitioners
• Movement, yoga, and embodiment practices
• Healing tents and bodywork spaces
• Art, craft, and community makers
• Nourishing food and herbal offerings
• Family and children’s spaces honoring the next generation
WombFire is a festival, a retreat, and a living village — a place where women are seen, heard, and held in community.
When women gather around the fire, healing ripples outward into families, homes, and generations.
NOTE: no meals are included in ticketing pricing, there will be food options from local CSA/venders/Farmers market style preparations etc. But no food trucks at this event. There will be option to participate in the potluck Monday evening - please look out for details around that as we move closer to the event. Fire and grills are accessible as any campsite, for your convenience and food preparation!
The Land
This gathering takes place in Indian Hollow along the East Branch of the Westfield River in the hills of western Massachusetts. Surrounded by forest, meadow, and wildflower fields, the land offers a peaceful natural setting where songbirds, butterflies, and the rhythm of the river accompany our time together. It is not OUR land, It holds immense ancestral history, story and lineage. We will not be taking from the land but honoring its natural existence as we tend and take care as we borrow for the weekend.
Indian Hollow is a remote setting without full cell service or Wi-Fi, inviting guests to step away from daily life and return to the slower rhythms of nature, community, and the sacred circle, but with access if needed for mothers and birth workers who may need that access.
There is no public power sourcing so please plan accordingly.
There are bathrooms and a water spicket
A Note About the Container
WombFire is a women-centered gathering designed to create a protected and peaceful space for women to gather in ceremony and connection.
Our Mission
WombFire exists because we believe the gathering of women is medicine.
This festival is the first spark of a larger vision — to create a Women’s Wellness Retreat Center where women and families can access education, culturally rooted care, and community support through every stage of life.
By gathering together, we begin resourcing that future.
