Bush Heritage Australia invites you to join us for a thought-provoking networking breakfast, featuring inspiring female leaders providing their perspectives on achieving economic and environmental health for a nature positive future.

Across the world, businesses and governments are responding rapidly. Those that integrate sustainability, natural capital goals and complex climate issues into their decision-making are trailblazers in demonstrating that financial return occurs in conjunction with protecting biodiversity and the natural world.

OUR PANEL 

Nadia Campbell, Director, Goondicum Pastoral Co.

Nadia is a grazier who has previously worked as a lawyer in private practice, for government owned corporations and as in-house legal counsel in the finance sector. She is a founding member of the Centre for Regenerative Agriculture Training Education and Research (CRATER) and a Board Member of Accounting for Nature. As owner and director or Goondicum Pastoral Co, Nadia believes co-existing grazing, and the preservation of nature and wildlife, makes environmental and economic sense. She has a passion for improving the environment for future generations and sits on the board of a number of not-for-profit organisations.

Madonna Thomson, Director, Jagera Daran Pty Ltd 

Madonna is a member of the Jagera People and is a grandniece of the late Senator Neville Bonner. She has worked with Aboriginal Communities in Southeast Queensland with a particular focus on developing and sharing traditional knowledge about management of Queensland's natural resources and environment. As chair of the UQ Indigenous Enterprise Group, Madonna translates research into commercial viable projects in native foods. Madonna has worked extensively for more than 15 years in native title, cultural heritage and natural resource management, and was instrumental in developing a regional engagement framework, in consultation with Traditional Owner groups.

Beth Keddie, Executive Director, Pollination

Beth is an experienced strategy and innovation leader having developed and implemented transformational strategies across multiple sectors in response to disruptive change. At Pollination Beth supports clients in both understanding and positioning to respond to the immense changes underway in the transition to a net zero, nature positive future across the agriculture, property, resources and energy sectors. She formerly led strategy, product and commercial venturing at Jemena and Energy Queensland’s subsidiary Yurika in response to sectoral transformation driven by renewables and digitalisation. Beth holds a Masters in Environment from the University of Melbourne along with degrees in chemical engineering and commerce.

Kim Skubris

Kim is an experienced journalist with over 25 years working in both Australia and overseas. Kim has reported on some of Australia’s biggest stories at home, and abroad, from natural disasters to war zones. For the last two decades Kim has also been a media consultant, MC and keynote speaker.
