Join us for our first ever Annual Fundraiser; A Night of Whimsy & Joy!
The evening will include canapes served from 7pm - 9pm, a 4 hour drinks package, entertainment from a Julian Bull Magician and Circus Monoxide, a silent auction of items so generously donated by local businesses, sporting clubs and artists and night of celebration, fun and dancing!
While there is no formal dresscode, we do encourage you to dress in attire that brings out your playful and childlike sense of whimsy or fun.
Established in 1979 on feminist principals, Women Illawarra has been at the forefront of many campaigns for women’s issues. Previously Wollongong Women’s Information Service, our organisation was instrumental in the foundation of many women’s services in the Illawarra, including women’s health, housing and domestic violence services. Since opening our doors in 1979, we have provided continuous support and services to the women of the Illawarra.
Over the last few years our organisation has experienced significant expansion in response to the increased demands for our supports and services. Our main office currently operates out of a small miners cottage in Corrimal Street Wollongong, which is in need of major works. Our services and programs have outgrown our space and we are forced to rent a commercial property to deliver some of our services. We would love to bring the whole service back together to ensure that women and children can access all they need in one trauma informed space.
Women Illawarra is now fundraising to improve our building and amenities and we need your help to do it!! All money raised from this event goes toward our building fund. NSW Charitable Fundraising Authority No. 26254
