Our Women in Business Expo showcases some of the support options available for women in business in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This event is suitable for any women in business - whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, startup founder or business owner

We'll kick off the event with a light lunch and hear from our guest speaker Veronica Stevenson from Humble Bee Bio. This will be followed by networking and an opportunity to talk to support agencies about how they can support you and your business.

About the Guest Speaker

Veronica Stevenson is the Chief Strategy Officer and Founder of Humble Bee Bio. She co-invented the company’s proprietary molecule that targets the holy grail of anti-ageing skincare - elastin production. Unlike collagen, elastin production stops after puberty, leading to sagging and wrinkles. Humble Bee Bio’s molecule promotes elastin production 4.7x more than the current gold standard. This category-defining invention is on the cusp of entering the $64B premium aesthetics and skin longevity market.

Veronica’s journey began with a personal investment of her life savings to sequence the genome of a rare solitary bee, leading to this groundbreaking discovery.

The mission extends beyond skincare, with the company seeking to support indigenous-led biodiversity initiatives, reinforcing their commitment to sustainability and climate impact.

Veronica is a passionate speaker and storyteller and holds a BSc in Reproductive Anatomy and Structural Biology and a Masters in Science Communication. She is also an Edmund Hillary Fellow and TEDx speaker.
