Sisters in Colour – Women in Legal

Changing the Face of Leadership, One Story at a Time

What does a career in the judiciary actually look like, and how do you get there?

For many women of colour, the bench can feel like a distant place: a pathway that's rarely explained, with few people to ask. This evening is about changing that.

Keynote: Magistrate Veena Goverdhan
Magistrate Goverdhan will map out the pathway to a judicial career and share her own story of getting there.

Panel: The Many Faces of the Legal Profession
A cross-cultural panel will explore how culture, gender and diversity are represented across the profession, and what it takes to bring more women into leadership roles. Panellists to be announced.

Who it's for
Established practitioners, early-career lawyers, and students still deciding where the law could take them. Come to hear from a trailblazer, see different pathways in practice, and connect with others who want a more representative profession.
