Join us for our first event of the year to celebrate International Women's Day 2023

Enjoy a discussion led by industry professionals on the IWD theme 'Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender-equal future.

    Uma Patel - News Lab Lead, Australia & New Zealand, Google + Partner, Women In Media Relaunch Project
    At Google, Uma works alongside academics, newsrooms, nonprofits and community groups around Australia and New Zealand with the focus on tackling misinformation, growing diversity within the industry and supporting digital transformation for journalists.

    Women in Media and the Google News Initiative have joined forces for the Relaunch Project. It is an exclusive series of workshops, mentoring sessions and online training aimed to develop the skills of talented women in media to empower them to successfully return to the workforce

    Caroline Swift - Head of Entertainment, Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia 
    With a 30+ year career spanning much of the television industry, most recently overseeing the entire slate of Warner Brothers entertainment shows, such as The Bachelor franchise, Celebrity Apprentice, The Masked Singer and Fboy Island, Caroline Swift (aka Spence) is only too happy to discuss this year's IWD theme of Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender-equal future.

    Sam Trattles - Twice Published Negotiation Advocate
    After her impressive talk and negotiation workshops at the Women In Media National Conference, Strategic Deals Negotiator Sam Trattles wants to change the way we feel and think about negotiations. Representation and equal pay go hand in hand with creating parity and Sam is eager to speak on these topics and more, utilizing skills she honed working as the General Manager of Sponsorship, negotiating deals for an Aussie brand with THE most comprehensive sponsorship portfolio in Australia. We all have a lot to learn from Sam!
