Women leading climate change action

The Women’s Climate Congress (WCC) invites women from Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country to help breathe life into the WCC’s Charter for Change by reflecting together and discussing ways to implement the actions contained in it.

We know that the next 7 years are critical to get policies in place to secure the climate for the younger and future generations. Women are mobilising globally in ever increasing numbers to take their full and rightful place in decision making to create a safe future of their children and grandchildren, and to usher in a policy paradigm shift towards compassion, kindness, care and nurture of all Earth Life.

The WCC Charter for Change, based on conversations with many 100s of Australian women, captures the universal longings of women and puts them in an Australian policy and social context.

Janet Salisbury the founder of the WCC along with other WCC members will introduce the Charter and follow with an invitation to explore how Canberra women, individually or collectively, can lead and participate in Charter aligned actions. Through facilitated & interactive group conversations, this event will encourage you to develop your own artistic, cultural, social, economic or operational responses.
