Women of Pōneke November 2026 Event
Description
Women of Pōneke : Together by Design - The Next Chapter
26 November |5pm -7.30pm | Te Ahumairangi Foyer
National Library 70 Molesworth St
Women of Pōneke exists to elevate women in our city, and it starts with connection. We are ambitious about where that can go, and we are here to serve the women who make it what it is.
On Thursday 26 November, we are bringing everyone together for an evening that is Together by Design.
First and foremost, this is a night out: lively, warm and relaxed. Come with a crowd, or come on your own and leave having met someone new. Expect laughter, easy conversation and time to unwind in a welcoming space, the Te Ahumairangi Foyer at the National Library on Molesworth Street in Thorndon.
The food will be amazing and you will leave well nourished. Everybody Eats, the social enterprise that looked after us in September, is providing the platters, and Luna Estate will be pouring the wine. We are paying Everybody Eats the full value of the catering, so every ticket helps a social enterprise thrive and puts our community’s support to work close to home.
The evening also opens a conversation about what comes next. We have some big ideas, and we reckon you will too. Women of Pōneke is working with Kathryn Robinson and Celine Yockney from Verian, who have generously contributed their research and engagement expertise to help us design the event and make sense of what we hear from you.
We will talk it through over a glass of bubbles or juice. We will share a little of our thinking, we want to hear yours, and your answers will shape what we build.
A ticket gets you good food, warm company and a seat at the table for what comes next. All are welcome, so bring a colleague, invite someone whose company you enjoy and come ready to have fun. We cannot wait to see you there.
We know things are busy in the run to the end of the year, so here are four reasons to come:
Nourishing kai and wine: platters from Everybody Eats, with Luna Estate pouring.
Warm company: familiar faces and new ones, in an evening built for connecting and unwinding.
Your ticket makes a difference: the full catering value supports a social enterprise.
A seat at the table: big ideas for what comes next, shaped by you.
So grab your ticket now and share with at least one amazing woman (and/or ally) in your life.
To cover our costs, we are charging for this event. We know that things are tough at the moment for many, so if this is a barrier for you to attend, please contact us and we will do everything to support you to attend.

A bit about us
Me.We.Pōneke is our signature quarterly event designed to inspire, connect and raise the voices of our wonderful community of Wellington women, and people who identify as women.
We believe that magic happens when women come together. We’ve seen it. We’ve felt it. And we want to create more of it with regular events that are open, welcoming, supportive and empowering for the women of Wellington.
Come along, bring a friend and join us as we continue to raise the voices of Wellington women and invite you all to be part of Me We Pōneke.
We are so grateful to all of our supporters, especially Steph and the team at Inside Recruitment.
