Women of Pōneke February 2026 Event
Description
Women of Pōneke : Big dreams for a cool Capital
26 February |5-7.30 | Te Ahumairangi Foyer
National Library 70 Molesworth St
We begin the year by inviting you to Dream Big!
We love Wellington for its quirk, culture, connection to nature and its infectious energy. In your wildest dreams what would our future capital feel and be like? How would you live in it and what would you want it to stand for on a world stage? — How can we create a city future generations will love to live in?
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said “ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”
Who better to dream than the Women of Pōneke!
We are delighted to have the team behind Dear Wellington – Claire Sharpe and Sophie Jacques from Warren & Mahoney and Helen Milner associate at Think Place — to share their dreams for our city in inspired visual imaginings and letters from a future Wellington. They will invite you to join in re-imagining our cool little capital, express your hopes and think about how we can turn ideas into action.
This is an event where you can surround yourself with great company, enjoy delicious food and wine - unleash your imagination, connect and spark action. We can’t wait to see you there!

A bit about us
Me.We.Pōneke is our signature quarterly event designed to inspire, connect and raise the voices of our wonderful community of Wellington women, and people who identify as women.
We believe that magic happens when women come together. We’ve seen it. We’ve felt it. And we want to create more of it with regular events that are open, welcoming, supportive and empowering for the women of Wellington.
Come along, bring a friend and join us as we continue to raise the voices of Wellington women and invite you all to be part of Me We Pōneke.
