Women of the Saltire Society

Join us for a special event celebrating the women whose contributions have helped shape the Saltire Society and Scotland’s cultural life.
The event features talks by Magnus Linklater and Sarah Leith. Magnus will explore the life and contribution of Alison Bonfield, one of the Society’s key founders, while Sarah’s talk draws on her recent research, also featured in an essay published by Studies in Scottish Literature.
The event will also offer a unique opportunity to view archival material especially on display for the day, and to visit the Saltire Society’s 90th anniversary exhibition in the Library’s exhibition area.
