    Event description

A free 8 week program open to women who would like to learn to ride a bicycle.

In celebration of International Womens Day this learning journey is funded by Inner West Council.

Learn to ride a bike in 8 weeks in a safe and supportive environment.  Sessions are intended to be relaxed and fun one hour sessions with bicycles and helmets provided. No experience is expected.

Learn to ride a bicycle with the professionals. When you learn to ride with Pedal Set Go, training wheels and falling off your bike are NOT part of the experience. You will have fun and connect with other women that have not had the opportunity to learn to ride.

Week 1. Introductions, make new friends and get to know your instructors. Practice walking with the bike. Learn all about brakes, control, getting on and off the bike and steering.

We know life is busy and you may not be able to make each session however it is essential you attend the first lesson. We ask that you then attempt to make the further 7 sessions so that the group can progress together.

Week 2 to week 8. Practice gliding and steering, feeling the wind in your hair! Once you can control the bicycle you will learn to pedal and experience the joy of riding in a group.

You just need to bring a sense of fun, comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes.

Access is important to us. Your access needs will be supported.

Please contact hosts for alternative booking methods or accessibility requirements.

The program is open to any female identifying people aged 25 and upwards.
