Women's Bikepacking Blue Mountains Overnighter
Description
Join friends of the shop Jullietta and Kristy for a fun and supportive all-women bikepacking adventure in the beautiful Blue Mountains!
This intro to bikepacking ride to get you started on overnight bikepacking, with stunning scenery, and great cycling company. Open to women (including trans women) and non-binary in a women-centred space.
Trip overview
Start: Wentworth Falls Station (shops available)
Finish: Woodford Station (no shops available)
Camping: Ingar Campground. Waterhole available for swimming and water refill (filtration/treatment required)
Distance: ~24.5 km over 2 days
We’ll ride at a comfortable pace with plenty of breaks.

Getting there
Option 1 - Meet at Coronation Park, next to Wentworth Falls Station at 1:00pm (link)
Option 2 - Meet at Sydney Central Station at 10:20 am, train to Wentworth Falls Station.
Who can join?
Women — new to bikepacking (you need to be able to handle your bike and repair punctures), all the way up to experienced riders
Riders interested in trying bikepacking and overnight touring
Those who want to meet other women in the cycling community
What to bring
Your own bike (gravel, mountain, hybrid, or touring bike) and repair kit (spare tube, mini pump, patch kit, tyre levers)
Sleeping gear (sleeping bag, mat)
A tent or other shelter
A headtorch for the campsite (we won't be riding in the dark)
All food including ~1.5L water, snacks, dinner (Saturday), breakfast (Sunday), lunch (Sunday), and cooking gear (you could also pack sandwiches/foods not requiring heating if you don't want to bring cooking gear)
There is water at Ingar campground from the dam (requires filtration/treatment)
Weather-appropriate clothing (including rain gear)
Swimmers for a swim at the waterhole

This is a friendly and supportive ride — we’ll help with planning tips and share gear ideas ahead of time. Come solo or bring a friend!

Tickets
You'll notice that there are two types of tickets available - the tickets for the ride itself, and another ticket if you want to attend the Zoom briefing before deciding whether this ride is right for you. You'll have the opportunity to ask lots of questions, and get some more information before committing.
