Join us at a special panel event to explore the future of tech. Moderated by Women's Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) Pan Pacific Ambassador Serina Bird, Canberra's WEDO event 2022 will provide a deep dive into things you might have heard of but not understood:  DAO, crypto and Web 3.0.

The ticket price includes a brunch of homemade sourdough focaccia, cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, fruit and yoghurt.

PANELLISTS

Jordan Franklin

Jordan's foray into web3 began with a 100-day challenge to learn about cryptocurrency through the eyes of a complete beginner. She shared her journey publicly on Tik Tok and, after gaining 70k followers across social media, she quit her corporate job to pursue web3 education full time. Jordan is currently working on an ed-tech platform for beginners in web3 called Dear Crypto, to create more inclusive learning resources and drive diversity in this new and exciting space.

Dr Priscilla Kan John

Priscilla is a computer scientist working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human-centred computing. She wants to contribute to the development of AI systems that are trustworthy and fit-for-purpose. She is actively involved in computer science education through teaching and works on developing relevant approaches to help prepare students to handle technological disruption. She is currently a lecturer at the ANU School of Computing.

Jia Zhang

Jia is a co-founder of GW Technology, where she empowers users to leverage and own digital assets across blockchain games and open metaverses and services.

Deborah Fairfull

Deborah is the founder of Blisspot, a digital platform that provides well-being to support health and wellness.  She is a serial entrepreneur, and this is her third start-up.  As a former winner of the Australian Capital Territory Businesswoman of the Year Award, the ACT Chief Minister’s Award for Innovation, and the founder of award-winning businesses Brave Design Group and Eatsmart Food, Deborah enjoys continued success as an industry spokesperson and business leader. Blisspot is in the process of migrating to embrace Web 3.0.
