This event is aimed at anyone who would like to know more about endometriosis and pelvic pain.
Gastroenterologist Dr Chris Hair joins gynaecologist Dr Alex Bonner to break down
what endometriosis is, how it can affect your fertility and daily life, and what you can do about it. Plus, we’ll
chat about the often-overlooked connection between gut health and pelvic pain.
Tea, coffee and nibbles will be available, as well as the opportunity to ask questions.
About the presenters
Dr Alex Bonner
Alex completed Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Monash Health in 2017. She works with OGB Surfcoast at Epworth Geelong, providing a comprehensive broad range of gynaecological services, including: colposcopy, pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive surgery. She has a special interest in Cervical Dysplasia, Endometriosis, Pelvic pain, Ovarian cysts, Pelvic organ prolapse and Urinary Incontinence, Menstrual management, and Fertility.
In addition, Alex also has a senior lecturer position for medical students with Deakin University.
Alex is an affiliated gynaecologist with the Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre at Epworth.
Dr Chris Hair
Chris is a Geelong-raised gastroenterologist with interest in general gastroenterology, endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease and functional disorders including IBS.
He has had extensive experience in gastroenterology, including leading the gastroenterology and endoscopy services at Epworth Geelong and developing gastroenterology services across multiple Pacific Island Nations.
