We are offering self defence workshops for women. People are welcome to come to any of the sessions, all sessions, or simply one session since there will be some important skills to learn at each workshop. Sessions are on Fridays, September 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 4.15-5.45pm at the Mt Barker Community Centre. This program is FREE! Attend these sessions and learn how to keep safe in any situation!

Each session is 90 minutes long with 45 minutes allocated to theory and 45 minutes for physical demonstration. This is an inclusive course and suits all abilities. No prior martial arts or self defence skills are expected or necessary. For adults and teenagers (13+).

This beneficial course ISOHEALTH is usually $195 per participant, but as a one-time special opportunity, it is FREE!

Their Women’s Only Self Defence program teaches women how to keep safe in any situation. They feel it is vitally important to not only teach the physical side of self defence but perhaps more importantly for female students to understand the theoretical or ‘awareness’ side thoroughly as well. Far too often victims can end up in a physical altercation which could have been avoided if only they had the knowledge and awareness to get themselves out of danger before the situation turns physical. ISOHEALTH also teach our techniques against resistance, ensuring that you can confidently and effectively use techniques against an attacker (this also helps to familiarise students with the level of force and resistance involved in a real-life self defence situation).

Their priority is to give you the tools you need to stay safe in whatever self defence scenario that life throws at you!
