Women's Pain Forum
Event description
Almost half of all women are impacted by issues related to their periods, pregnancy, birth and postnatal care, or conditions like endometriosis.
4 in 10 Victorian women live with chronic pain.
1 in 3 have conditions that affect their ability to work.
20% have skipped social activities because of their health.
These are results from the Victorian Government's Listening to Women's Voices report.
The Inquiry into Women’s Pain is the next stage of the Government’s $153 million women’s health transformation.
And it's all about putting women’s experiences at the heart of reform.
That's why I'm hosting a Women’s Pain Forum in Gisborne with Women’s Health Loddon Mallee.
This in-person event is an opportunity for local women and girls to come together, share experiences, and understand how our voices can influence future outcomes for women’s health.
If you or another woman you know can’t attend, you can still submit to the inquiry via this link: www.health.vic.gov.au/public-health/inquiry-into-womens-pain-submissions
Light refreshments provided. Please book your free ticket to assist with catering.
