Women's Safety Community Forum
Description
Women’s Safety Community Forum
The impact of domestic violence deeply affects women, children and families across our diverse community. Together, we can help make a difference.
You’re warmly invited to our Women’s Safety Community Forum, an open and supportive space for people of all genders to learn, connect and discuss how Council, service providers and the community can work together to improve women's safety.
What you can expect:
Hear from four local organisations, including Victoria Police, Northern Community Legal Centre, No To Violence/ Men's Referral Service and Sisters 4 Sisters about what domestic violence looks like and how to access help and support.
Have an opportunity to ask questions regarding safety at home and where community can access resources and support.
Join us for an open, respectful discussion about how Council, service providers, and community members can work together to build trust and strengthen connections to improve women's safety.
Who this is for
Community leaders, advocates, service providers and residents from Merri-bek’s diverse community who care about improving the safety of women, children and families at home.
