Women's Self-Defence and Empowerment Community Workshop
Description
Firstly, know you are welcome here, always. This is your warm invitation to come home to your power.
“If you didn’t fear fear, what would you do? How would your life feel?”
This community‑based workshop is designed to help women reconnect with their bodies, gently observe current beliefs and thought patterns around fear and self‑defence, and recognise their innate capability, all within the safety of a like‑minded community.
This gentle and immersive experience offers an opportunity to understand your natural fear response to perceived threats in your environment: physical, social and emotional. With this awareness, we’ll explore how to establish a new relationship with fear and examine the beliefs that may be limiting us in life, particularly those contributing to a perceived inability to protect ourselves.
Following the theoretical and reflective components, you’ll be guided to embody the practice through practical self‑defence strategies, accessible for all bodies, real‑world applicable, and offering immediate safety and self‑protection solutions using your natural reflexes. We’ll close with a grounding breathwork practice to gently integrate the learnings.
Come once, or return as often as you wish. You’re part of a supportive community where the door is always open, and you only need to arrive as you are.
Across the afternoon, you’ll explore how the mind and body respond to stress and fear, learn simple nervous‑system‑supportive tools, and be introduced to the foundational principles of the SPEAR self‑defence system: a practical, behaviour‑based approach that helps you lead your own defence using your inbuilt capabilities.
No experience needed. Accessible to all bodies, ages, skill levels and fitness levels.
This workshop is warm, supportive, low‑pressure and mindfully facilitated. You’ll leave feeling more grounded, confident and connected, with real‑world skills you can apply immediately.
