TOPIC FOR SEPTEMBER: UNLEARNING OUR WORRIES

When we worry about the children in our care, it is easy to fall into old habits of trying to command and control them.

How often have you ended up threatening, yelling at, punishing or bribing a child when you've got caught up in worrying?

In my experience it is far more effective to investigate and dissolve the root cause of the problem - fear.

I'll be sharing a practical process I used to unlearn my worries and restore harmony with my children.

Calling women interested in conscious, respectful relationships with children. You might be a mother, aunty, granny, teacher or childcare worker.

Anyone who is interested in supporting the growth of children in a non-coercive, nonviolent and respectful way is welcome to attend.

This Circle is a space for women to gather to share wisdom, support and skills that empower and nurture us as we navigate our way with the children in our lives.

This will be a small group event limited to 12 participants.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

I will introduce the topic for each gathering and share some of my experience and wisdom.
I will facilitate a sharing and discussion circle to include all participants.
I will guide a mediation and/or self-nurturing practice.
Afternoon tea will be provided, please feel free to contribute a plate.
Time to relax and connect with other women who are on a self development or spiritual path.
Confidentiality will be respected.

I'm Freya. I have 23 years experience raising two sons and supporting and mentoring other women. I wrote a book called “Joyful Parenting: Five Skills to Take your Family from Conflict to Connection” and I teach a course by the same name. I mentor other parents, home educating families and seekers of peace. I write, speak and teach on the topics of Unschooling, Conscious Parenting and Rewilding your Soul.
