Calling women interested in conscious, respectful relationships with children. You might be a mother, aunty, granny, teacher, childcare worker or none of the above.

Anyone who is interested in supporting the growth of children in a non-coercive, nonviolent and respectful way is welcome to attend.

Our relationships with children through nurturing, care and guidance is the highest form of service to another being that there is, and yet it has been SO undervalued in our society. The wellbeing of those doing the caring has often been overlooked by society and also by US!

I wish to create a space for women to gather to share wisdom, experience, support and skills that will empower and nurture us as we navigate our way with the children in our lives.

Babies under 1 year are welcome to come with you. At this stage we don’t have the capacity to include children over this age.

This will be a small group event limited to 12 participants.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This event will (hopefully) be ongoing on a fortnightly basis.
There will be a theme or topic for each gathering. At the first gathering we will discuss topics for inclusion. Topics could include: screen time, dealing with meltdowns, food issues, unlearning our old conditioning, self care, nonviolent communication, problem solving, boundaries, dealing with anger………..
I will introduce the topic for each gathering and share some of my experience.
I will facilitate a sharing and discussion circle to include all participants.
I will guide a mediation and/or self-nurturing practice.
Afternoon tea will be provided, please feel free to contribute a plate.
Time to relax and connect with other women who are on a self development or spiritual path.
Confidentiality will be respected.

ABOUT ME:

I'm Freya. I have 23 years experience raising two sons and supporting and mentoring other women. I wrote a book called “Joyful Parenting: Five Skills to Take your Family from Conflict to Connection” and I teach a course by the same name. I also mentor home educating families and I write, speak and teach on the topics of Unschooling, Deschooling, and “Making Peace with Screens and Gaming”.
