Women Up North 2024 Spring Ball

Women Up North Inc. is a Northern NSW service supporting women, children and young people who are experiencing domestic and family violence. We are based in Lismore and work through-out the Northern Rivers. We are once again partnering with Sydney-based investment company, Challenger, to host a fundraising Spring ball at the Lismore Turf Club on 19th October 2024.

The event will be headlined by Lisa Hunt & Band. Lisa will get the party started like no other with the very best of Sweet Soul, Motown, R&B Funk and Disco. Lisa Hunt has headlined festivals: Byron Bay Blues and Roots, Brisbane’s Groove and Grape, giving soul stirring performances that give her a reputation that’s usually reserved for celebrities.

Carmen Geddit, from Sydney Drag Royalty, will host the event. With her natural ability for subtle hilarity and a quick-as-a-whip wit, no one performs like Carmen. Awarded 2023 DIVA Entertainer of the Year, Carmen has performed nationwide, bringing her camp and colourful shows from Sydney to locations such as Darwin, Uluru and Port Macquarie. Carmen has graced the cover of Good Living in the Sydney Morning Herald, performed on Seven Network’s Sunrise, worked for Tourism Australia and The Kyle and Jackie O Show and has been an on-the-ground Mardi Gras parade correspondent for Network Ten’s The Project.
