Womens' Drum Circle - Nov (Pittsburgh)
Event description
EVENT DESCRIPTION
This monthly Womens' Drum Circle (formerly Womens' Drum Circle) seeks to create a safe community for women to come together and simply be themselves. We will laugh, may cry, some of us may simply be quiet even in the midst of drumming and music making. Rhythm and music is what will join us together. NO MUSIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Instruments will be provided, but if you have your own drum or other instrument, you are welcome to bring it.
If you are new to any type of music making, do not worry, the Drum Circle begins with brief instruction on how to play the drums and other rhythm instruments in order to get a satisfying sound without hurting yourself or the instrument. Seasoned players also benefit from this brief instruction as it is a great way to warm up the body for playing.
This is a smoke and alcohol-free environment.
