Women's wildflower walk
Event description
Join us for a women's wildflower walk at Peel Reserve to explore and discover hidden gems in celebrating native flora, and connections.
Event details:
Step into nature and celebrate spring with a guided women’s walk through the Peel Flora and Fauna Reserve - a precious patch of remnant vegetation, rich with biodiversity and seasonal wonders.
Central Tablelands Local Land Services invites you to discover vibrant wildflowers in bloom, observe native plants and wildlife, and learn about the ecological significance of this unique reserve.
Whether you’re a seasoned nature lover or simply curious about the local flora, this gentle walk provides a welcoming space to connect with others, share stories, and appreciate the natural heritage of the Peel Region.
As part of Sue’s wild flower walk, Megan Halcroft (native bee specialist) will be bringing some insect nets and jars to catch, observe, and identify some native bees and other insect pollinators.
Additional details:
Comfortable sturdy walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a sense of curiosity are all you need to enjoy this event.
Following this event, there will be lunch and a session on native pollinators at the Old School Hall in Peel (8 West Street, Peel).
Children are welcome.
